My Confession Of
My New Creation Righteousness
"…those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness
will reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:17)
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new,
…for He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become
the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:17,21)
(NOTE: The most important thing we believers need to know is who we are in Christ. First and foremost, God has declared us righteous! (Romans 3:20-22) Righteousness is the great new testament revelation. We do not earn it, we receive it. It's not about what we do, it's about what Jesus did for us. This is the good news of righteousness: When we enter God's Kingdom we start out at the top. We are now seated with Christ. (Ephesians 2:1-7) If you want to be a victor in your Christian life, you need to know the reality of your righteousness in Christ!)
Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father;
Thank you for the gift of righteousness. I did not earn it and I do not deserve it, but you blessed me with it and I thank you for it. My confession of righteousness is not an act of arrogance or pride. It is my grateful, humble acknowledgment of what I possess in Christ. It is not about my goodness, it is about your goodness. It is not about exalting myself, it is about exalting Jesus.
Jesus is my righteousness. Calvary was the great exchange; Jesus became sin with my sin, and I became righteous with His righteousness. His Righteousness!!
I am not just a sinner saved by grace, I am now a righteous new creation in Christ. By the simple act of receiving Jesus into my life, I am now righteous. Righteousness means I am in right standing with God. The blood of Jesus gives me good standing, right standing and perfect standing in God's Kingdom. Righteousness means I am free from all condemnation.
Therefore I refuse to condemn myself or punish myself for my past sins. Praise God, my past doesn't matter anymore!!
I am the liberated, righteous body of Christ. Righteousness makes me free, bold, and more than a conqueror! I can now stand in the Holy presence of God as a beloved son. Therefore sin-consciousness shall not have dominion over me. The greatest freedom is freedom from sin-consciousness. I am determined to live in righteous-consciousness every moment of every day. I am determined to see myself as God sees me. My sinful past will not interfere, control or sabotage my Godly future. I refuse to think, talk or meditate on my past. I will now think, talk and meditate, non-stop, on my righteousness in Christ.
Praise God, I am the righteousness of God in Christ!!

WE ARE THE RIGHTEOUS!
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed…even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:21-22)
For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God…for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:3,10)
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law Christ died in vain. (Galatians 2:21).

THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
"For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive (God's) overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness (putting them into right standing with Himself) reign as Kings in life through the one man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)". My Loving Heavenly Father,
Thank you for blessing me with your gift of salvation and your gift of righteousness. You now invite me to stand in your Holy presence just as if I had never sinned! With no sense of shame or unworthiness! What a great gift! I receive your righteousness, not with arrogance, but with awe! Not with pride, but with great humility, knowing that without you in my life, I never had any righteousness of my own. You are now my only righteousness. Without your gift of salvation, my life would never be complete. And without your gift of righteousness, my salvation would never be complete. Forgiveness cleans me up, but it's your righteousness that makes me whole. It's your righteousness that makes me free. It's your righteousness that makes me bold. Thank you for making righteousness such a simple and easy thing to attain. Salvation is a gift and righteousness is part of the package. I receive your righteousness – signed, sealed, delivered and gift-wrapped! Your righteousness is now my righteousness. Thank you for sharing it with me. Without your righteousness in my life, I am nothing but an out-of-control wretched man looking for deliverance from my body of death. But your righteousness is my deliverance. It is my confidence and my security. Father, thank you for blessing me with your righteousness; something I could never attain without your grace.

There is nothing that man needs so much today as a sense of righteousness…
When Adam sinned, he instantly lost fellowship with God and the ability to approach Him. This sin-consciousness has robbed man of his faith and filled him with a sense of unworthiness that dominates human consciousness today. The church has been sadly lacking in bringing forward the truth of what we are in Christ, or how righteousness and faith are available. In fact, most of the ministers who are classed among the orthodox, continually preach sin instead of righteousness, and keep their congregations under condemnation rather than lead them out into liberty where faith can function. We have been filled with fear. We have heard so much preaching about sin and weakness and failure that it has become a part of our very consciousness. The church does not appreciate what she is as declared in the Word. We have been taught we are unworthy and unrighteous, that we were weak and had no faith, for so long that it has become a chronic disease.
This sense of unworthiness destroys faith, robs us of our peace of mind, and makes ineffectual the most earnest and zealous prayer life.
The reason for practically every spiritual failure can be traced to sin-consciousness. It gives man an inferiority complex. He is afraid of God, and he is afraid of himself. The inferiority complex that is bred of sin-consciousness is faced everywhere in the church.
The greatest freedom is not political freedom, freedom from financial worry, or physical discomfort, but it is freedom from sin-consciousness. The very theme of the Book of Romans is the showing of God's ability to set a man right with Him, to declare Him righteous and to make him righteous, so he can stand in the father's presence without the sense of guilt. Righteousness means the ability to stand in the father's presence without the sense of inferiority or sin-consciousness. Righteousness comes to us in the new creation. It restores our standing before God. It takes away the old sin-consciousness that has crippled and robbed us of all our spiritual imitative, confidence and assurance. It restores to man a standing before the father on the same ground that Jesus enjoyed in his earth walk. Remember the fearlessness of Jesus. He was not afraid. He had no sense of inferiority.
Righteousness is a masterful thing. Jesus had no sense of lack. He had no sense of sin-consciousness. It is almost beyond our apprehension when God declares He Himself has become our righteousness.
What does righteousness mean? It is the ability to stand in the Father's presence as though sin had never been.
We have become the righteousness of God in Christ, but we have been living as slaves when we ought to be reigning as Kings.
Do you know that we have as much a right to be free from sin-consciousness as Jesus was in His earthly ministry! We stand before God as His own righteousness!
He, who was once made sin for me, has made me His righteousness now, and by that wondrous act He has lifted me from the mud and slime of failure to sit with Him upon the throne!
