Get closer to Jesus, He is right here with you!

Living by Grace

I believe in obedience and holiness,
but my ministry is about grace and mercy.
My faith is in God's commitment to man,
not man's commitment to God.
My conduct never saved me, never made me righteous,
never brought me healing and never liberated me.
God's grace did all that!
Christianity has never been about how good we are,
it's about how good God is!!

-- Gary Marchinke

For if, through the transgression of the one individual, Death made use of the one individual to seize the sovereignty, all the more shall those who receive God's overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in Life through the one individual, Jesus Christ.
(Romans 5:17)

LIVING BY GRACE

"For sin shall not have dominion over you,
for you are not under law but under grace.
(Romans 6:14)

"I do not set aside the grace of God.
For if righteousness came through the law,
 then Christ died in vain."
(Galatians 2:21)

My Loving Father God,

Thank you for an abundance of grace,
and the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17).
Grace is my foundation and liberation in Christ. (Romans 8:1-2).
I receive your grace, not as a license to sin,
but as an opportunity to succeed!!
Grace keeps me on the narrow road to life –
seeking and serving you, even when I fail!!
The same grace that saved me and began a good work in me
is always continuing your work in me. (Philippians 1:6)
I refuse to quit and give up on myself,
because you never give up on me. (Hebrews 13:5)
You are the merciful God of the fresh start.
In your Kingdom it's never the end,
it's always the beginning.
When my sin abounded,
your grace abounded more (Romans 5:20)
I receive your forgiveness, I forgive others, and I forgive myself;
not just once, but as a way of life.
I am a new creation in Christ
– redeemed, reconciled, restored, and righteous –
not by my good works, but by your finished work.
(11 Corinthians 5:17-21).
Grace delivers me from the burden and bondage of religious works,
into the peace and rest of divine love.
Praise God, Jesus came to take the pressure off!
I don't have to live in condemnation and defeat.
I don't have to earn my salvation.
I don't have to earn God's love.
I am loved, right now, just as I am!
I put my past behind me and I stand on God's Word --
loved, valued, accepted and forgiven forever!!

PRAISE GOD, FOREVER!!

THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD

nor do I count my life dear to myself,
so that I may finish my race with joy,
and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus,
to testify to the Gospel of the grace of God."
(Acts 20:24)

THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places…
to the praise of the glory of His grace,
by which he made us accepted in the beloved.
In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace".

how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32

Our most gracious heavenly Father,

Thank you for the grace that liberates me from all condemnation and blesses me with all spiritual blessings. You are a great God who offers me a great salvation – a new life and a fresh start. I am blessed with heaven's best!! I receive your new life, abundant life and eternal life in Christ. I do not deserve it, earn it, or merit it, but you offer it anyway. I receive your forgiveness, righteousness and liberation, not as a religious ritual but as a living reality.  Not by jumping through man-made hoops, but by simply entering your Kingdom. In your Kingdom, grace plus nothing equals success! I am now blessed with your grace, your Kingdom, your riches, your love, your nature, your Spirit, your Word, your gifts and your fruit.  Jesus became poor so I could be rich – rich in spirit, rich in health, rich in finances, rich in faith, rich in love, rich in joy, rich in peace, and rich in hope.

Father God, thank you for the grace that saved my life, healed my life and restored my life!

I am blessed going out!!
And blessed coming in!!

Formula for Success:

GRACE PLUS NOTHING!!!

GREAT GRACE
PRODUCES
GREAT POWER!

"And with great power,
the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus..
And great grace was upon them all".
(Acts 4:33)

Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your Kingdom of Grace -- saving grace, healing grace, liberating grace and overcoming grace. Thank you for the power of grace – power to endure, power to conquer, power to live, power to love.  Thank you for delivering us from do-it-yourself religion. Religion is cruel, cold and intolerant; it's the letter that kills.  But grace is the spirit that gives life. Grace empowers me because it liberates me.  Grace empowers me because it restores me. Grace empowers me because it sustains me.  Thank you for the revelation of grace – your eternal, unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor.

Thank you for the force of grace.  It put me in your Kingdom and it keeps me in your Kingdom.  Thank you for the unspeakable joy of grace.  It made me strong and it keeps me strong.

Truly, the only word for grace is AMAZING!!

Thank you, Father! You are an AMAZING God!!

Great Salvation!
Great Grace!
Great God!

The Ten Characteristics of a Legalist

"I marvel that you are turning away so soon from him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed."
Galatians 1:6-9

The one true gospel is the gospel of the grace of God. (Acts 20:24) It is a love story about exceedingly abundant grace. (1 Timothy 1:14) It's about grace, grace, grace, grace, grace, grace, and more grace! We are all saved by grace and then we have the opportunity to live by grace.

In the modern church world you will occasionally hear a good word about grace, but you will on many occasions confront legalism. Legalism ignores grace. Legalism minimizes grace. Legalism mocks grace. Legalism hates grace. Legalism is the ultimate act of religious stupidity; an attempt to finish the finished work of the cross. It is the never ending effort of some redeemed people to try to make themselves more redeemed. Legalism is any form of do it yourself Christianity. There is no faith in it. There is no freedom in it. There is no rest in it. There is no end to it; no end to how radical it can become.

Here is the good news: Jesus did it all! Jesus came to take the pressure off. That means we can all relax and enjoy ourselves.

1. Legalists embrace religion but never embrace God's grace.

2. Legalists are never content with their righteousness in Christ. They are always seeking to establish their own righteousness.

3. Legalists are showmen. They are performers, not believers. Performers always live in fear of failure, and sooner or later set themselves up for a fall.

4. Legalists are always hard on themselves and those around them.

5. Legalists are always better at judging people than loving them.

6. Legalists believe that religion is Lord. They always exalt their doctrine, their theology, their church, their good works, and their faithfulness.

7. Legalists always find a reason to put you down. They always have the need to elevate themselves at the expense of others.

8. Legalists have never made the discovery that life in the spirit is a joy rather than a burden.

9. Legalists are not our friends, they are our competitors. The legalist is an egotist. They are not content to be saints. They want to be recognized as super saints and they will succeed even if it kills them -- and all those around them.

10. Legalists live in constant fear of losing their salvation. Always wondering if they are good enough, always afraid they have not done enough.

"As long as we are trying to do anything; God can do nothing. It is because of our trying that we fail, and fail, and fail. God wants to demonstrate to us that we can do nothing at all, and until that is fully recognized, our despair and disillusion will never cease,"
The Normal Christian Life
Watchman Nee

"Jesus proclaimed unmistakably that God's law is so perfect and absolute that no one can achieve righteousness. Yet God's grace is so great that we do not have to. By striving to prove how much they deserve God's love, legalists miss the whole point of the gospel, that it is a gift from God to people who don't deserve it, The solution to sin is not to impose an ever stricter code of behavior. It is to know God."
What's So Amazing About Grace?

Philip Yancey

"Legalism wants you to strive every day trying to become what God has already made you to be in Christ. I emphasize grace plus nothing because there has always been a tendency in the body of Christ to preach salvation by Grace, through faith, and then to attempt sanctification and holiness through every imaginable form of legalism. Certainly, the Lord calls every Christian to press into sanctification and holiness, but neither happens apart from grace. Without grace all preaching is just wasted hot air. Sin cannot be removed apart from grace. Hearts and minds cannot be transformed apart from grace. Grace is God's program. Grace is God's design."

Healing For Damaged Emotions

"Many years ago, I was driven to the conclusion that the two major causes of most emotional problems among evangelical Christians are these; The failure to understand, receive, and live out God's unconditional grace and forgiveness: and the failure to give out that unconditional love, forgiveness, and grace to other people... Grace is not a commodity but our Lord himself coming to us in His graciousness. A loving, gracious God accepts us as we are, offers Himself lovingly to us right here and now, not when we shape up... Here is the good news of the gospel for people with damaged emotions; God loves us, not because we are good, but because we need His love in order to be good."

Healing for Damaged Emotions,
David A. Seamands

YOU ARE LOVED!!

 GOD WILL
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER
STOP LOVING YOU!!

 LOVE IS WHY
GOD'S KINGDOM OPERATES IN OUR LIVES TODAY

 GRACE IS HOW
GOD'S KINGDOM OPERATES IN OUR LIVES TODAY

"If my relationship with God depended on my being
righteous and good,
I would never make it,
I have failed.
Grace is being accepted by God,
even though I don't deserve it,
even though I am not worthy of it."

Chuck Smith

THE FORCE OF GRACE

"The law is holy, just, and good.

But it cannot make you holy, just, and good...

The law condemns the best of us.

Grace saves the worst of us."

 -- Joseph Prince--

"Receiving God's fullness gives us

grace upon grace.

The law was given through Moses.

Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."
