Get closer to Jesus, He is right here with you!

(Knowing God)

"Abide in Me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing…as the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love."
John 15:4,5,9

Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father,

I come to you today, not seeking things, but seeking you.  You are the rewarder of those who diligently seek you.  Not power, not honor, not ministry, but You! (Hebrews 11:6)

You are my shepherd, my liberator and my healer. In you I live and move and have my being. (Acts 17:28)   Like the apostle Paul, I need to know you.  I want to be still and breathe in your presence.  I want to be still and hear your voice. I want to be still and hear your heartbeat.  Father, I am not satisfied with business-as-usual church.  I want to dwell in your presence.  I want to drink from your river. I want to meditate on your Word. I want to bask, soak, and marinate in your love.  I want to wait on you, experience you and know you. Father, I'm spiritually hungry and I'm pressing in for more of you.  Fill me lord!

Your word says you love me as much as you love Jesus.
(John 17:23)

I want to comprehend the width and length and depth and height of your abundant love.  Show me your face Lord.  Show me your glory Lord!

Father, in the name of Jesus, blast me with all you've got!

1. Salvation is a gift. You can not lose it because you never did anything to
get it. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

2. God offers salvation, not probation. Your life and actions have already
been judged and you have been declared "not guilty". God's message ot you
and me is this: I will never find you guilty! (John 5:24)

3. You are now living under grace. Grace means you are loved, valued,
accepted and forgiven forever. (Romans 6:14)

4. You are loved with an everlasting love. God's message to you and to me
and to everyone is this: I will never stop loving you. (Jeremiah 31:3)

5. Jesus says, He will never leave us or forsake us. Some people say He
will, but Jesus says He won't. (Hebrews 13:5)

6. Salvation is about the goodness and faithfulness of God -- not us. Jesus
never said the sheep were good. He said He was good. (John 10:10-11)

7. God has declared you righteous. Salvation is the gift of righteousness.
Many people think that when they die God will tell them if they are righteous
enough for heaven. No, pay attention. God has already told you.
(Romans 5:17)

8. God's mercy endures forever. We often forget about God's mercy, but
God doesn't. (Psalm 136:1)

9. You are now liberated from all condemnation. Not when - or if -- your
conduct becomes perfect, but now. (Romans 8:1)

10. Nothing can separate you from the love of God. You can turn your back
on the light, but the light will always shine on your back. (Romans 8:38)
