WHO IS GOD?
"I am the Lord who heals you."
(Exodus 15:26)

WHAT DOES GOD DO?
"I will take sickness away from the midst of thee."
(Exodus 23:25)

WHAT DID JESUS DO?
"He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."
(Matthew 8:17)

WHY DID JESUS SUFFER?
"…by whose stripes you were healed."
(1Peter 2:24)

WHAT DOES THE SPIRIT DO TODAY?
"…He who raised Christ from the dead
will also give life to your mortal bodies…"
(Romans 8:11)

WHAT DOES GOD'S POWER DO TODAY?
"exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…"

WHAT CAN BELIEVERS DO TODAY?

WE ARE THE HEALED!!

Father God, thank you for the finished work of the cross. 

Healing is in that work.

Healing for my heart and healing for my body.

Jesus took our infirmities (Mathew 8:17)

Jesus bore our sicknesses (Mathew 8:17)

With His stripes we were healed (1 Peter 2:4)

The words took, bore and were, are all past tense terms. 

That means the time of the action has already taken place.

Healing is a finished work… Jesus finished it!

Healing is a settled subject… Jesus settled it!

Healing is a done deal… Jesus did it! 

Healing is our bread – Our manna from heaven
(Mark 7:25-29)

Healing is our right and inheritance in Christ! 

We are not the sick seeking healing.

We are the healed of the Lord, resisting sickness.

It is not my sickness.  It is not my disease. 

Sickness and disease doesn't belong to me.

Healing belongs to me. Healing belongs to us.

We are the healed Body of Christ. 

Praise God.  The time of the action has already taken place.

God's Healing Word

"My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings. 
Do not let them depart from your eyes;

And health to all their flesh."

God's Word created all things
 (John 1:3)

The Word became flesh
(John 1:14)

The Living Word went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.

The Word of God is still alive

The same Word that created all things, also heals all things. 
God's creative Word creates life, healing, health and wholeness in my body.

It Is Written:

The insulation of God's Word protects me from the infection
of this world.

I overcome the sickness of the world with the power of the Word.
I overcome the bondage of the world with the authority of the Word. God's Word is life and health to all my flesh.
God's Word is my medicine!

FOR HEALING
HOW TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH
"Fight the good fight of faith"
(1 Timothy 6:12)

Faith is a fight, but faith is a good fight.
Faith is a good fight because faith is a winning fight.
Faith is a force that overcomes the world. (1John 5:4)

1.You need to know the character and nature of God. Psalm 136:1
You need to know that God is not mad at you. God is love. What does love
do? Love forgives. Love heals. Loves gives. Love provides. Love blesses.
God is a good God. God is good – all the time.

2.You need to know that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) Years ago a prominent female minister shared with me how she overcame a life threatening affliction. I'll never forget her words. "I got so close to Jesus, I just got healed." God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him – not church, not ministry, not good works, not power, not honor, not glory – but Him.

3.You need to know that healing is part of your salvation. (Isaiah 53: 4-5) God gives us total salvation: righteousness for our nature, peace for our mind, and healing for our body. God is our healer. (Exodus 15:26) God heals all our diseases. (Psalm 103:2,3)

4. You need to know that healing belongs to you. (Matthew 8:16-17) (1Peter 2:24) Jesus took our infirmities. Jesus bore our sicknesses. With His stripes we were healed. The words took, bore, and were, are past tense terms. That means the time of the action has already taken place. God is not thinking about doing something to heal you. God has already provided you with healing.

5.You need to know that it is God's will to heal you. (Matthew 6:10) There is no sickness in heaven. Therefore it cannot be God's will for you to be sick while on earth. When the leper came to Jesus (Matthew 8:2-3), he said to Him, "I know you can heal me, but will you?" Jesus said, "I will". Jesus said yes! It is my will to heal you! It was His will then, and it is His will now. How many will God heal? Acts 10:38 says that Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.

6.You need to know that healing is part of your abundant life in Christ. (John 10:10) This scripture is the great dividing line. It tells you what Satan wants for you, and it tells you what God wants for you. All sickness comes from Satan. It comes to steal, kill and destroy you. But Jesus came to give you abundant life. Abundant life includes abundant health.

7.You need to know that God desires to freely give you all good things. (Romans 8:32) All the benefits and blessings of God's Kingdom are free! It's all about grace – unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor. You have eternal favor with God. Grace means you are loved, valued, accepted, and forgiven forever.

8.You need to know that God's resurrection power dwells in you. (Romans 8:11) Healing is a simple and easy thing for God because the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, and the same Holy Spirit that performed all the miracles in the Bible, is the same Holy Spirit that dwells in your body today.

9.You need to know the power of God's healing word. (Proverbs 4:20-22) It's not about doctrine. It's not about theology. It's not about condemnation. It's not about history. It's not about church. It's not about religion. God's word is about life and health. It's about health for all your flesh.

10.You need to know the reality of your righteousness in Christ. (Romans 5:17) Salvation is the gift of righteousness. Romans 5:1 says God has declared you righteous. In God's Kingdom you do not have to earn your righteousness, it is yours NOW! That means you are worthy to be healed NOW! That means you are good enough to be healed NOW!
 

Knowing God
"I know whom I have believed."

1. Knowing God as Love.
"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him."

2. Knowing God as Mercy.
"O, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! For His mercy endures forever."

3. Knowing God as Grace.
"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."

4. Knowing God as Forgiveness.
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases." Psalm 103:2-3

5. Knowing God as Savior.

6. Knowing God as Father.
"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our father in heaven, hallowed be thy name."

7. Knowing God as Liberator.
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life sets me free from the law of sin and death."

8. Knowing God as Healer.
"I am the Lord, who heals you."

9. Knowing God as Comforter.
"Praise be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of compassion and the God of all comfort."

10. Knowing God as Provider.
"He who did not spare his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all
things?"

"Jesus proclaimed unmistakably that God's law is so perfect and absolute that no one can achieve righteousness.  Yet God's grace is so great that we do not have to. By striving to prove how much they deserve God's love, legalists miss the whole point of the gospel, that it is a gift from God to people who don't deserve it. The solution to sin is not to impose an ever stricter code of behavior. It is to know God."
